Happy Chinese New Years 2009!!!

Happy New Years Everyone!!  2009 is the of the OX.

Chinese New Year is the longest and most important celebration in the Chinese calendar. The Chinese year 4707 begins on Jan. 26, 2009.  Chinese months are reckoned by the lunar calendar, with each month beginning on the darkest day. New Year festivities traditionally start on the first day of the month and continue until the fifteenth, when the moon is brightest. In China, people may take weeks of holiday from work to prepare for and celebrate the New Year.

The Ox is the sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. This powerful sign is a born leader, being quite dependable and possessing an innate ability to achieve great things. As one might guess, such people are dependable, calm, and modest. Like their animal namesake, the Ox is unswervingly patient, tireless in their work, and capable of enduring any amount of hardship without complaint.

Ox people need peace and quiet to work through their ideas, and when they have set their mind on something it is hard for them to be convinced otherwise. An Ox person has a very logical mind and is extremely systematic in whatever they do, though they have a tremendous imagination and an unparalleled appreciation for beauty. These people speak little but are extremely intelligent. When necessary, they are articulate and eloquent.

People born under the influence of the Ox are kind, caring souls, logical, positive, filled with common sense and with their feet firmly planted on the ground. Security is their main preoccupation in life, and they are prepared to toil long and hard in order to provide a warm, comfortable and stable nest for themselves and their families. Strong-minded, stubborn, individualistic, the majority are highly intelligent individuals who don’t take kindly to being told what to do.

The Ox works hard, patiently, and methodically, with original intelligence and reflective thought. These people enjoy helping others. Behind this tenacious, laboring, and self-sacrificing exterior lies an active mind.

Ox people are truthful and sincere, and the idea of wheeling and dealing in a competitive world is distasteful to them. They are rarely driven by the prospect of financial gain. These people are always welcome because of their honesty and patience. They are reputed to be the most beautiful of face in the zodiac. They have many friends, who appreciate the fact that the Ox people are wary of new trends, although every now and then they can be encouraged to try something new. People born in the year of the Ox make wonderful parents and teachers of children.

It is important to remember that the Ox people are sociable and relaxed when they feel secure, but occasionally a dark cloud looms over such people and they engage all the trials of the whole world and seek solutions for them.

Among the “twelve animals” the colorful character of the rooster will bring sunshine into an ox’s life, and become his best friend. Both of them have the spirit of devotion and so they can get along with each other well. The sentimental mouse and the clever snake also can get along well with the ox. People born in these two years will take care of an ox. People born in the year of the rabbit, dragon, and horse, as well as others born in the year of the ox will also have a good relationship with them, but these relationships may not be close ones. People born in the year of the dog may consider the ox very dull because the ox generally lacks a sense of humor. People born in the year of the sheep and the tiger will complain that the ox has too much authority over them.

Life isn’t fair…

We lost a few good people at my engineering lab today.  Many I have become real close to in the past few years.  I would like to really choke those greedy corporate bastards who started this landslide of economic failure.  They got rich, and now the world suffers.  They gave themselves multi-million dollar bonuses as their companies are plummeting and their employees are being laid off.  I’d really just like to say FUCK YOU and I hope you get what you deserve.  What goes around, comes around, you greedy bastards.

KFM training for MMA..

KFM (Keysi Fighting Method) training for MMA style ground and pound method. I’ve been training in this style since mid 2008 and will be continue my training in KFM for years to come. I’ve been able to implement my previous styles and techniques with KFM, and was able to create swift, quick, agile and deadly fighting combination’s. I was also able to create and choreograph better fighting scenes using KFM, to make more realistic fight scenes for film. Here is a quick glimpse of KFM used in ground fighting, similar to the ground and pound methods MMA fighters use, but with more structure an deadlier movements.

Rule of thirds..

I figured I would give a short photo lesson.  A lot of people ask for photography advice, and the only advice I can really give them is a rule in composition.  Better known as the rule of thirds.  It is probably the best advice as a photographer I could give.  Color, grains, cameras… is all up to the photographer and what is being shot.  But composition is the key to photo, design, well pretty much anything visual.  Here are some examples I stole from the Internet.

Notice the bars appear in the photo above.  Its showing the main object in the bottom right third of the photo.  The human eye actually processes this rule very well in photos and design.

I hope this helps some of you guys.  I know I did not explain much, but I was hoping the pictures can explain themselves.

My Bloody Valentine 3D..review

My Bloody Valentine 3D - Jensen Ackles, Jaime King

Plot - Tom (Ackles) returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine’s night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, however, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders, and it seems like his old flame (King) is the only one will believes he’s innocent.

My review - I was sooooo disappointed by this movie.  The script ws horrible, the acting well, B rated at the most.  The 3D looked great, but there were slow motion 3D shots that should have been in real time.  I was rather anoyed with those shots.  The only awesome thing I saw was the complete nude scene.  I saw boobs and a twat in 3D hahahaha  I give this movie a 3 out of 10.  A 3 because of 3D lmao…
